Und schließlich die modernen Literatursprachen. Angeführt von "Hindi" sind es 18 an der Zahl. Nicht nur die Sprachen, auch die Kulturen und Religionen, die Geschichte und Gesellschaft des indischen Kulturraums sind Gegenstand der Indologie.
