Die "Tugendrose", auch "Goldene Rose", "Papstrose", wurde 1967 durch den Papst geweiht. Sie wird allerdings bereits seit 1049 als päpstliche Auszeichnung an verdienstvolle, meist katholische, Persönlichkeiten verliehen.
